Music News - Out Today - The Disappointments
20 April 2018 - 0 Comments
Three
of New Zealand’s most well known musicians and personalities have banded
together as The
Disappointments to today release what critics are already
describing as one the most honest and authentic Kiwi albums of 2018.
The self-titled album
The Disappointments has been a labour of love for the legends who
make up the band - Hammond
Gamble (vocals/guitar), Andy
MacDonald (bass) and Brent Eccles(drums).
Gamble, Macdonaldand Ecclesare no strangers to playing together. As Street
Talk in the 70's, they toured extensively and drew critical
praise for their albums. They all went on to pursue successful careers in
music, with Gamblecarving out an illustrious solo career; MacDonaldforming the band Blind
Date with Street
Talk guitarist Mike
Caen; and Ecclesgaining international acclaim as the drummer in The Angels.
Fast forward several decades, and the trio are back together as The Disappointments with
a cracking album steeped in old school rock ‘n’ blues.
