Electronic duo hailing from New Zealand, Sachi, release brand new single Hollywood Angel ft. E^ST – out today via Casablanca / Republic Records/ Universal Music New Zealand. Get it HERE.
“We are really proud of the vibe and feeling captured in the song,” the duo comments on the new single, “that feeling of fleeting elation when you’re in the midst of a euphoric moment. We hope with “Hollywood Angel,” like we hope with all our music, becomes the backdrop to people's best memories.”
The official music video will arrive very soon, providing nostalgic 90's vibes, a nod to the era that first gave Sachi a love for music. Discussing the making of the video the duo says, “We took inspiration from a lot of the old Hip-Hop and R&B videos from the early noughties, guys like Hype Williams and the videos Bad Boy Entertainment were putting out around then.”
Sachi has risen to become one of the most promising breakthrough duos of 2018. Building an early foundation with two chart topping singles, Shelter and No More, the duo now has over 14 million streams on Spotify alone, and spent a respective 28 and 27 weeks in the NZ Singles Top 40. Supported with co-signs from Lorde, Zane Lowe, Diplo, and more their records have hit the pages and airwaves of Complex, MTV, BBC Radio 1, Triple-J, Hillydilly, Sniffersand more. Sachi spent the majority of early 2018 on foreign soil. Amongst many Australian shows they were hand-picked for Alison Wonderland's Scarehouse Project, touring with the likes of A$AP Ferg, Lido and more for 5 sold-out dates.
Climbing to the world stage, Sachi penned a deal with Republic-affiliated Casablanca Records mid 2018, joining an artist roster home to the likes of Chase and Status, Sub Focus, Martin Solveig, SG Lewis, Tiesto, and more.
With collaborations in the bag from Chicago rap heavyweight Mick Jenkins and an official remix for Lorde, SACHI continue their release run on June 29thwith their first single of 2018. Featuring Australian artist E^ST, the addictive vocalist supported by Zane Lowe, Billboard, Nylon, and trendsetters worldwide. Her playful melodies throughout Hollywood Angel overlap a house-inspired bass line that will have you hitting the boulevard.
