The Bedford school of Music and Performing Arts has undergone allot of growth and change over three past 6 and a half years. Started by founders, entertainers, Miriam and Jae Bedford as a very low key home business here in Oamaru teaching guitar and voice. Over that time they have grown into teaching in all contemporary music instruments and events management. Over the last grew years they moved into performing arts with Drama, public speaking & dance. The latest area of growth for this gem of the Waitaki region is into the area of photography and film. In partnership with the newest photography company in the area TBSOM & KrystynB photography will be sending there students out into the field photographing and filming local events.
TBSOM's slogan The Future is Now has never been more accurate with the new stars of the organisation. You will see all of these activities and more at their annualOamaru's Got X- Factor event August 18th from 10am at The Bedford School of Music $5 entry. Prizes include recording, marketing and performance opportunities.
