JUST ANNOUNCED!!

Friday August 31st - Auckland - The Others Way Festival

Soaked Oats are a young four-piece band hailing from Dunedin, New Zealand who have been described as "a southern stew of Kurt Vile and Mac DeMarco with a good shake of Kevin Morby".

Coming to notoriety for writing songs about stoned fruit (Avocado Aficionado, I'm a Peach), 60+ good-time live shows in a year including a blinder set at Rhythm & Vines 2017/18, and releasing three EP's  in their short 18 month existence.

The band is made up of lead vocalist Oscar Mein who scribes the clever, witty and thoughtful observations on life. And fruit. Guitarist, Henry Francis and his amazing pedal-board is on the noble path to tone mastery making the instrument sound like it was made by unicorns. Rhythm section Max  Holmes (bass) and Conor Feehly (drums) provide the backbone, the funk and keep the party going.

For the uninitiated, we invite you to dip your ears and eyes into the chilly southern land of Soaked Oats and their music video for Gum-15 and their live session for Perfect Song in the (apparently) steamy hallowed halls of Roundhead Studios.

Joining the band in Auckland are Daffodils are pulling together nostalgic new wave sounds with anthemic tracks you can absolutely get down and dance to! With three singles under their belt that capture their dark dramatic live sound and high energy performances, they’re in the studio working towards bigger releases later in the year.

Supporting on the DJ decks will be the incredible A.C. Freazy (the moniker of Auckland based multi-instrumentalist Alex Freer (Tiny Ruins, Carnivorous Plant Society, Artisan Guns, The Eversons).

Signed to Groeni's Ball of Wax Records label, Zero Cool will be so- shredding the stage in Wellington. Brothers, Scott Maynard (guitar/vocals), and Matt Maynard (drums) along with Deanne Krieg (bass/vocals) are a grunge/indie/post-welly trio.
