Sex Craze, the new single from Saxi, is about human addiction and a woman who is emotionally unavailable... until she meets her match.
In this emotionally charged relationship, she finds herself powerless to resist the mutually deep physical and emotional attachment forming between them. Her world is turned upside down as her emotions burst into technicolour which comes alive in the music video, produced by award winning filmmaker, Shae Sterling.
Anna Saxton (known by her artist name Saxi) has had a significant amount of experience in the past few years, including travels to the US in 2017 where she was selected from 35,000 applicants around the globe to attend a 6 week all-expenses-paid artist development programme with Randy Jackson at ISINA in Los Angeles. Working alongside top musician mentors and other talented applicants and at the same time and starring in the ISINA TV show gave Saxi a huge boost and this is when Sex Craze was written.
"I
get a lot of inspiration at night with songs inspired by dreams.
I'm
constantly in a bubble of creativity."
Saxi was mentored by Kenny “Babyface” Edmond, aka - 10 time Grammy Award winning composer, producer, singer/songwriter who has worked with Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Madonna, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson (to name a few!).
Saxi was also nominated for ‘Pop Artist Of The Year’ at the 2015 LA Music Awards for unsigned artists and received NZOA funding for her single Lipstick, which was produced by Grammy-nominated US producer Chris Sernel and released worldwide.
With the release of the Sex Craze single and music video, and now that she is back in the US for more opportunities, Saxi is gearing up for the spotlight once again.
