After a short sabbatical, the pioneers of New Zealand punk and hardcore,
Sticky Filth are embarking on a North Island Tour.
Sticky Filth, with Craig Radford on vocals and bass, Chris Snowdon on guitar and vocals and Mark ‘Boot’ Hill on Drums, will be playing venues in Auckland, Raglan, Mount Manganui, Wellington and New Plymouth during October and November 2018.
One of New Zealand’s most iconic bands, Sticky Filth have been playing for over thirty years and have released four albums, two EP’s, singles, and rare early recordings that are sought after by collectors the world over.
Sticky Filth’s evocations of provincial punk and working class life are among New Zealand’s finest, and most honest, and the sound they make – punk power chords raining down to a howling vocal and constant beat – one of the most distinct. They have toured Australia twice, played more New Zealand shows than they can remember and released the country’s finest catalogue of metallic punk and dirty rock n’roll.
Playing support for Motorhead, Stiff Little Fingers, Bad Brains, Henry Rollins and many more internationals cemented Sticky Filth as one of New Zealand’s best live acts, and here they are now, touring a venue near you!
Sticky Filth’s final show of the tour will be headlining the New Zealand Tattoo and Art Festival in their hometown of New Plymouth.
The band is looking forward to playing these shows and grateful for the support they have received through the years. They look forward to seeing old friends and new faces as they bring their distinctive driving sound around New Zealand once again.
