"Every festival should book them, doesn't matter if you have got utes or side fringes, these boys could rock the hell out of any stage they are given" - Hysteria Magazine
Bakers Eddy have spent the year making massive waves around the globe with their loud, fast and dirty punk. Their debut EP I’M NOT MAKING GOOD DECISIONS - released earlier in the year - won them a ton of love from fans and critics alike, with the title track spot added to triple j.
Meanwhile, stand-out tracks like Sad and Happy; If You See Kay and Jack Shit For You clocked up a masses of support on community radio across Australia.
The band followed up the release with a tour up and down their home country of New Zealand and the east coast of Australia, supporting The Dead Love. They also made an unofficial appearance at Big Sound in Brisbane, playing to a packed-out crowd.
The UK and Europe has also been a part of their 2018 circuit, with a slot on the Alternative Great Escape - part of the prestigious Great Escape Festival and gigs in Europe.
The September 20 release of their new single ‘Leave It To Me’ only served to catapult them further into the spotlight; with triple j Unearthed making Bakers Eddy their ‘featured artist’ in October and adding the song to high rotation. The band hit the road to celebrate the song’s release, playing headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
Their high energy performance at Hysteria Magazine’s Halloween Hysteria Festival in Brisbane also earned them the title of ‘best on ground’.
There’s no stopping the lads from Wellington!
