Rei is excited to bring you his brand new single No Way, featuring Kiwi soul singer Tyna.
No Way is a Drake meets Major Lazer meets New Zealand-guitar-party-singalong anthem. It’s a track with a message of motivation, encouraging others to not get held back by life’s obstacles.
Co-written by Teeks, No Way is the follow up single to Rei’s first breakthrough radio hit, Good Mood, which achieved heavy playlisting on major stations in NZ. It peaked at #3 on the NZ hot singles chart and also achieved playlisting on Spotify’s Urban Flavour, New Pop Sounds and New Music Friday AU & NZ. Apple music also featured it on their Best of the Week playlist.
Tyna (on chorus duties) has had a long career himself, collaborating with NZ music legends such as Scribe, Rob Ruha, Home Brew and Pieter T.
With producer credits from platinum producer DLove (with millions of streams under his belt) and mixed/mastered by Chris Chetland (who has mastered Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha), No Way is sure to be heard blaring out of car speakers across NZ this summer.
With 3 Maori Music Awards, 2 NZ Music Awards nominations a #1 iTunes Hip Hop album and a #1 iTunes World music album Rei is definitely making a name for himself in the music industry. He also co-won Best Emerging Manager at the 2018 MMF Awards.
No Way is the latest single from Rei’s upcoming 3rd album, due for release mid 2019.
