Breakout pop star Anne-Marie will perform her first ever New Zealand headline show next March and Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce that Kiwi hit makers Openside will open the show.
Led by gender non binary vocalist Possom Plows who is armed with one of the best young voices in the country, Openside are known for their emo pop anthems and high energy live shows. With two New Zealand Top 40 tracks already under their belt No Going Back and I Feel Nothing, their examinations of identity and relationships are resonating with an ever-growing audience.
2018 has been a huge year for the quartet, clocking up their own national all ages headline tour as well as releasing an EP entitled Episode One: Character Flaws from which the title track has gained national pop radio support and featured on international playlists. Openside have played alongside acts such as Ellie Goulding, Panic! At The Disco and Twenty-One Pilots. With their exciting, entertaining and super fun live show, Openside are not an act to be slept on!
Anne- Marie’s highly anticipated debut album Speak Your Mind (Warner Music), has cemented Anne-Marie’s place as the UK’s biggest-selling debut artist of 2018. Charting in the NZ Top 40, Speak Your Mind broke the UK Top 3, and spent ten weeks in the Top 10.
Speak Your Mind features multiple hit singles including 2002 co-written with global megastar Ed Sheeran, and brand new smash, Perfect To Me. Anne-Marie has also recently featured on Marshmello track FRIENDS with over 5.2 million sales worldwide, Rockabye alongside Clean Bandit and Sean Paul, the UK’s longest-running #1 in twenty two years. As the main support on Ed Sheeran’s 2018 stadium tour throughout the UK, Europe and the USA, Anne-Marie is no stranger to performing live, having spent two years touring with Rudimental as their lead live vocalist and selling out entire UK tours of her own.
