With 'No Revolution' The Diamond Dead rise from the ashes of Diamond Doll

05 February 2019 - 0 Comments

The Doll is dead. There will be no revolution - the war is on the inside.

Napier band Diamond Doll has been resurrected as The Diamond Dead. Formed in 2010, the 2 male/2 female 4-piece bring a powerful rock sound with overtones of grunge, metal and punk.

As Diamond Doll they have supported I Am Giant, Devilskin and Head Like a Hole.

Now as The Diamond Dead they are proud to present No Revolution, the first single from their forthcoming EP Becoming, due for release 28 February 2019.

“The energy from No Revolution punches you in the guts from the very start” 5/5 – Tony McDonald, Muzic.net.nz

If Richard Hell & the Voidoids thought the 70's had the Blank GenerationThe Diamond Dead see the struggles of a new generation.

No Revolution speaks to the internal conflict happening inside young people today. Of course they’re aware of what’s going on in the world – social media makes that inescapable. But if it gets too much, it’s easy so to sink into the comforts of online distractions, and prescription medications.

The war is on the inside.

“There will be no revolution – we’re too busy with ourselves”.
