Cherry Blind the now four-piece, drops their first single after being locked away in the studio working for the last year. Black Sheep is the first single to be released off their self-titled album, which is due for release in 2019. The single is a one and a half minute hardcore, grunge song that ultimately acts as a teaser for their upcoming music. The song was written and recorded in one day at ‘The Lab’ and was produced by Chris Mac from Six60.
Black Sheep’s lyrics were written by Lead singer Logan Anderson and drummer Mark Tohovaka. Tohovaka adds, "This song is about not being taken advantage of, in relationships, with people in a higher power, and simply those who limit you to certain expectations. This song deals with going outside the box and creating the music we want to.”
With a fast, punky vibe, Black Sheep is the perfect teaser for the newly branded Cherry Blind. After winning Smokefree Rockquest and releasing House of Flies in late 2017, the boys have returned from their hiatus with massive plans for 2019. Cherry Blind returns with an added member, Asher Pirini (Guitarist) and with new music ready to go. They have plans to release 3 more singles before the final release of their Debut album and have a huge line up of gigs and shows.
