Canadian rocker Bryan Adams will soon be touching down on Kiwi shores for the highly-anticipated New Zealand leg of his Shine A Light tour.
Presented by Neptune Entertainment and The Breeze, the Grammy-winning singer and songwriter will be at Spark Arena in Auckland on March 12; TSB Bank Arena in Wellington on March 14; Nelson at Trafalgar Park on March 16 and Hagley Park in Christchurch on March 17.
With a lengthy list of smash hits to his name, including (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Summer Of ’69, Run To You, Heaven and Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman, Adams has sold in excess of 65 million records worldwide.
Now he returns with his new album Shine A Light, from which his current tour takes its name. The album title-track was co-written with Ed Sheeran and is a great pop-rock opener to the new album.
“I met Ed in Dublin this year at one of his shows and we kept in touch. One day I sent him a chorus I had for a song idea I had called Shine A Light and asked him if he was interested in collaborating on it. I got a couple of verses back a few days later, and man you should hear him sing it!”
“I’m thrilled to be releasing this new 12-track studio album, which has a good blend of rock and pop and R&B. The new album also features a duet with American popstar Jennifer Lopez on the future classic That’s How Strong Our Love Is."
“Working with Jennifer was a dream, our voices sound amazing together.” says Adams.
The album and the Shine A Light tour is receiving critical praise, leaving no doubt - Adams is still one of the world’s best rock singers of our time.
“The unfussy rocker proves he’s still king of this unglamorous thing he started back in the 80's” - The Guardian
The Shine A Light tour follows Adam’s visit to New Zealand in 2018 when tens of thousands of Kiwis flocked to see the Canadian icon live.
Adams will be joined for the South Island shows only by special guests Dave Dobbyn and The Jordan Luck Band.
They’re both legendary Kiwi acts in their own right - with Dobbyn starting his career in Th’ Dudes and DD Smash, before going solo and releasing hit after hit, including You Oughta Be In Love, Slice of Heaven, Loyal and Welcome Home.
Jordan Luck was the lead singer and songwriter for The Exponents for several decades, with countless hits to his name, including Why Does Love Do This To Me, Who Loves Who The Most, Victoria and Whatever Happened To Tracey.
The Jordan Luck Band will be playing all of the classic the Exponents hits on this tour.
