Broods have announced indie-alt rockers Balu Brigada as the support act for their upcoming Don't Feed The Pop Monster tour of New Zealand.
Presented by ZM, Broods (Georgia and Caleb Nott) are playing all-ages shows at the Christchurch Town Hall on Friday, March 22 and the Auckland Town Hall on Sunday, March 24.
It follows the release of their critically-acclaimed third album Don't Feed The Pop Monster, which includes the hits Peach, Hospitalized and the current single Too Proud. Watch Georgia and Caleb perform Too Proud on The Late Late Show With James Corden.
Don't Feed The Pop Monster is “a masterclass in musical evolution, which marries raw emotion with pop sensibilities and a progressive sonic palette” - Coup De Main
Broods Don't Feed The Pop Monster tour is the first time in more than two years that the LA-based duo has played consecutive shows on home soil. And they’re excited to have up-and-coming Kiwi band Balu Brigada opening for them.
Balu Brigada are known for their high energy alt-rock with hip-hop beats and pop hooks. Live, they are a force to be reckoned with and have supported acts such as Kiwi artist Thomston and Australian pop artist E^ST, as well as playing major festivals such as R&V and ZM’s Float.
With just a handful of releases under their belts, including their latest single Brick By Brick, the band (made up of three brothers and a friend) have been making waves in New Zealand but also internationally after basing themselves in New York and recording new material for their forthcoming mixtape.
