"Power-emo-post-pop" Auckland trio Repairs will officially release their second single Thanks for the Advice on Tuesday 19 March.
Written and sung from a female perspective, the track is a short, sharp and to-the-point outburst against mansplaning, and the frustrations of experiencing gender bias.
The release follows a recent seven show NZ tour to coincide with first single Eyes Closed, a support slot for Poison City Record's Moody Beaches (AU) - and a wedding for drummer James!
The band are currently working on a split 7" release with Tauranga's Flogging A Dead Horse Town, as well as an EP to be released later this year.
Thanks for the Advice will be available to stream on all digital platforms including Bandcamp and Spotify.
More about Repairs
Repairs play high-tempo, loud, emotional music together for fun.
Repairs are three people, but only two of them are married to each other. They all used to perform variations of pitch, tone and rhythm with other people under different names - some of which are too embarrassing to mention, and some that aren't. In the interest of fairness we won't mention any of them here.
Repairs is situated in a city called Auckland, which is itself situated in a country called New Zealand. This informs the music they make, but nationalism is still stupid.
The music that the band Repairs make is great for fans of: Idles, Metz and Mourn.
