A super cool, upbeat and energetic tune that’ll have even the most rhythmically-challenged hitting the d-floor, Nobody Else captures the feeling of escaping the rest of the world on an adventure with your favourite person.
With the lyrics written by the band’s singer, Jordan Curtis, and the original music idea coming from guitarist and synth player, Sanjay Bangs, alongside pre-production sessions with Roundhead’s award-winning in-house engineer Simon Gooding, Nobody Else came together like a dream.
“The song was sitting pretty well before we got in the studio,” says Kiran Rai - who also plays guitar and synth. “We recorded it at Roundhead Studios in their Brick Room. It felt like a great space for us to work in, and we've worked with Simon for a long time, so we've got a really good relationship with him. It all came together pretty organically.”
Nobody Else precedes the release of Young Lyre’s EP, which will be released in May.
With hints of bands such as Phoenix and Tame Impala, it is Young Lyre at their best - live instrumentation blended with synth and electronic ones, and pushing much further into new creative landscapes.
It follows the release of Astore, the first single from the upcoming EP, which has clocked impressive numbers on streaming platforms.
