Music News - Top Of The Pops Wins Award for Second Year Running

Satellite Media is proud as punch to announce that Top Of The Pops is the winner of the highly coveted ‘Best Music Show’ in the TV Guide Best On The Box Awards for 2005 for the second year in a row.

Now in it’s second season on air, New Zealand’s Top Of The Pops sets the standard for live performances and has featured high profile local and international acts every week since March 2004.

This week, chart topper Rosita Vai will perform her number one single exclusively on Top Of The Pops in front of a live studio audience.

The TV Guide Awards are voted for by almost 230,000 members of the public. Top Of The Pops won the Best Music Show in 2004 for it’s first season and is delighted to have beaten off stiff competition to be the recipient for the second year running.

Satellite Media the producers of Top Of The Pops also produce Coke Countdown and Coke New Releases on TV2 as well as publishing music magazines Back2Basics and Rip It Up.

Top Of The Pops screens on TV2 every Saturday at 5.00pm
