Coke New Releases - Fresh Music from the fridge

Saturday November 5th 11am - 12pm

With it being the height of spring, Phil’s been busy in the back-garden this week nurturing the latest budding video hits. And what a mighty fine crop his green fingers have pulled. With all the fresh goodness their name suggests, Green Day have blossomed, while thanks to a bit of help from the visiting gardening/rapping duo of Frontline, he’s plucked fresh new videos from the Dandy Warhols, Shihad and Limp Bizkit.

Meanwhile, having seemingly spent the last few years working her legs up and down the back steps, the Queen of Pop, Madonna returns this week with a brand spanking new video for her latest hit ‘hung up’. On top of that, there’s snap locked goodness from Blackalicious and Brakes.

Plus we’re giving away a Sony PSP, Kelly Clarkson tickets, a veritable stir fry of CDs and that saucy little minx the Sony MHC-RG270 is flaunting her MP3 playability all through the undergrowth. Check out the speakers on her…

Top of the Pops

Saturday November 4th 5pm – 6pm

Congratulations to us! We’re the winner of the ‘Best Music Show’ in the TV Guide Best on the Box People’s Choice Award – for the second year in a row!

Rosita Vai, the first lady of New Zealand pop, retains the number one crown for another week and guess who’s got her back in the studio for a second performance?

We’ve also got Frontline with their brand spanking new single What Was You Thinkin?’ trust us – you will not want to miss these guys!

But wait, there’s more…Don’t forget punk rock band Kitsch are going to be there too, with a very live and very loud performance of their latest single, Memory of Me.

Bede talks to none other than the very talented Barnaby Weir about his unique place in the New Zealand music scene and gets the low-down on all of his Fly My Pretties band mates.

We also have performances from the man speeding up the charts, Kanye West, and the very saucy Charlotte Church, to name but a few.

And just when you though it couldn’t get any better… we have the New Zealand exclusive from the little band that could: The Arctic Monkeys shot to number one in the U.K, and only on the back of internet word-of-mouth. That’s some mean feat! Plus they’re just really really cool! You can’t see this music video anywhere else in New Zealand.

Last but not least, the Big Day Out Franz Ferdinand competition is still going so don’t forget to watch the show for this week’s curly question…

Coke Countdown

Sunday November 6th 10am - 12pm

There are some movers and shakers in the charts this week as Kanye West and Jamie Foxx leap frog into the top 5 with their unstoppable hit ‘Gold Digger’, while Nickelback grooms his goatee for more success with the on-going rise of ‘photograph’.

Meanwhile, Savage holds his own in the top 10 while James Blunt continues to croon his way back to the top and the lovely Rosita Vai shrugs off all other challengers.

We’ve also the hot new clip from the one and only Madonna, Shihad’s claymation finest and Frontline’s ‘what was you thinkin?’ - the latest from the local hip-hop heroes’ brand new album.

Don’t miss it, yo!
