Coke New Releases - Fresh Music from the fridge

Saturday December 10th 11am - 12pm

Streuth mate! Fair suck of the sav, it’s a ripper Coke New Releases this week! Phil straps some thongs to his feet, fair dinkum greases himself up and heads to Sydney for the annual Homebake Festival to hunt out any kiwis in the lineup. It was bloody hard yakka but the digger made it through and was grinning like a shot fox as he interviewed Evermore, P Money and festival headliners the Finn Brothers to name a few.

With the aid of his trusty mongrel Bluey he also managed to get a great pozzy and round up some beaut festival performances along with new videos from the likes of Coldplay, Chong Nee, Ludicris and Eminem.

Plus we’re giving away a Sony MP3 Walkman, Coldplay’s latest ‘X and Y’, and of course, the dolly that is the Sony MHC-RG270 is still strutting around the billabong, flaunting her 5 disc CD changer and fluttering her akubras.

Top of the Pops Make Poverty History Special

Saturday December 10th 5pm – 6pm TV2

TV Guide Best on the Box “Best Music Show”

Two weeks until Christmas, have you bought all of your presents yet? Have you organised New Years? Have you got all of your work done? Can you feel the pressure building?

Well we’ve decided to give all of that a rest and make this week’s show a Top of the Pops Make Poverty History Special. It’s all about helping out others who are less fortunate - which is kind of what Christmas is all about anyway, isn’t it?

The whole show features artists who support the cause, like chart favourites Coldplay and The Killers. Who would’ve thought, cute and thoughtful – we like them even more now!

Plus we’ve got a live performance from the lovely lads from Opshop with their very popular single “Levitate”, and a performance from the coolest band of the year, Charlie Ash. Trust us, you’ll love them!

The Big Day Out Franz Ferdinand prize may have been drawn, but we’ve gone and slipped a new Big Day Out prize in the mix for you. This one is a VIP Upgrade and a chance to meet Elemeno P backstage! Heck, that’s good!

And that’s not all – we’re going to continue the giving with our Albums of the Week – visit the website and you could win a copy of Shakira or Eminem’s latest offerings!

Ha Cha Cha!

Coke Countdown

Sunday December 11th 10am - 12pm

Crazy Frog continues his Christmas leap up the charts with his yuletide offering of ‘Jingle Bells’ and old fave ‘Popcorn’ mixing things up near the top of the pack. Meanwhile The Darkness continue their ride on the popularity train, making their way into the top 15.

Proving what goes up, must come down, the Black Eyed Peas slip off their position at the top of the rostrum, mingling with Madonna and Kanye in the top 5, while the Sugababes are pushing your buttons, climbing even higher.

Plus there’s your chance to win a double pass to the Goldenhorse gig next week, a copy of the hit infested Barbie’s Pool Party CD and the latest from Chong Nee, Che Fu, and the wonderful Fat Freddy’s Drop, who make their first appearance in the top 40.
