BIO:
After spending several years abroad, Jessy moved back to New Zealand in search of her country’s support. With the intention of building a band as a foundation, Jessy moved to Auckland and fortuitously, into a home with a basement. In the past two years, she’s meticulously built her band from her basement – The Volunteers – and emanating from that basement are the sounds of their future; a sexy, bluesy meld of funk, rock, and soul.
They’ve been filling up shows and spending hours in the studio recording with Nathan Judd (Hipstamatics founder) working on multiple songs as part of a larger genre fluid collection.
· Band established in our basement, Grey Lynn – July 2017
· Members: Jessy Wadeson, Julian Green, Sam Nash, Siaosi Naua, Lane Twigden
