Coke New Releases - Fresh Music from the fridge
Saturday December 17th 11am - 12pm
With the baying wolves of Christmas howling at the New Releases door, we thought it was time to get serious about the silly season – to set up a Christmas tree, enjoy our first alcoholic drink for the year, and to learn our lines for the team nativity play. Phil can hardly sleep for his excitement (he checks his stocking constantly), so we even let him bring his newest inflatable friend, Santa in for the day.
Always one to open his presents early, Phil snuck into the Coke New Releases back cupboard this week, unwrapping the latest goodies from Akon, Goldfrapp, Feelstyle and Charlie Ash before being surprised by the Kaiser Chiefs who were lounging beneath David Hasselhoff’s Christmas carols. It seems they’d snuck away in his suit case from Sydney…
Plus we’re giving away the last of the Sony MP3 walkmans, the Kaiser Chief’s album, Phil’s inflatable Santa and of course, our busty Christmas elfette, the Sony MHC-RG270. She’s under the mistle-toe right now…
Top of the Pops – Christmas Special
Saturday December 17th 5pm – 6pm TV2
TV Guide Best on the Box “Best Music Show”
This week we’ve got a very special performance from The Darkness because frankly, it wouldn’t be Christmas without The Darkness now would it? Especially if they were wearing silly costumes (nothing out of the ordinary there) and singing carols (okay so that’s odd).
And jumping on the whole Christmas carol bandwagon are kiwi bands Goodnight Nurse and Adeaze, and that infamous amphibian, all of whom will be performing live on Paradice ice-skating rink! Are we mad? I guess we’ll find out on Saturday…
With our Christmas cheer bucket filled to the brim we also have some cool new performances from The Pussycat Dolls and James Blunt to cuddle you in front of the fire!
Plus a whole sleigh full of goodies for you to win when you visit the website, including an Elemeno P Big Day Out VIP Upgrade and Albums of the Week from Mattafix and the Darkness.

Sunday December 18th 10am - 12pm
Just in case you’d forgotten it was coming up to Christmas, that in-bred amphibian with a screw loose is still ribbiting from atop the charts, his version of Jingle Bells bringing joy and pain in equal doses.
But it’s slightly further down where the real action happens, Fat Freddy’s Drop have nonchalantly waltzed towards the top 10, while 50 cent’s been causing a fuss with two songs in the middle of the charts.
On top of that we’ve newies from James Blunt, Elemeno P, T-Pain, the Pussycat Dolls, and a Kiwi goodness extravaganza with Fly My Pretties, Feelstyle and the Bleeders. Owwww!
