In four weeks time, local musicians, media, labels, managers and industry have the opportunity to meet and hear from over 20 international speakers coming to Aotearoa, New Zealand to share their experience and expertise. With more panellists to be announced for the annual Going Global Music Summit, this is arguably the most impressive festoon of knowledge and expertise delivered in the conference's nine-year history.
Joining this year's Going Global Music Summit line-up is Debbie Ball is the founder of UK's award-winning PR agency Create Spark with client credits including Tame Impala, The War On Drugs, Sufjan Stevens and Florence and The Machine. New Zealand music has a long history with the game-changing South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Festival held annually in Austin, Texas USA and Mark Gartenberg has worked on SXSW’s international team since 2000 and spearheaded SXSW’s first-ever song camp initiative, which includes established producers, songwriters and artists from around the world. SoundCloud is a powerful music sharing and distribution platform that most musicians are familiar with and senior manager of artist relations Hazel Berry will be coming along with Ophir Admony who is in A&R for Secretly Group and Nando Machado who runs a PR and marketing company in Brazil looking after the Beggars Group releases and much more. One of UK's most visited record stores, Sister Ray Records is sending their senior buyer, Steve Sexton. Alessandro Pavanello is coming from China currently working for China's top indie distributor Kanjian Music. Rounding out this announcement is Glenn Dickie from Sounds Australia, an organisation helping Australian artists to break into new markets.

The two-day Going Global Music Summit is a gateway for any local artist, manager, publicist, A&R, producer, music writer, record label and venue manager to connect with, question and hear ideas from some of the international music industry's most relevant and forward-thinking superstars. IMNZ (Independent Music New Zealand) is bringing to New Zealand; international booking agents, synch licensors, international media, PR experts, artist managers with international experience and those working for the fast-moving live and digital music platforms.
In 2017 and 2018 the events sold out, and Going Global showcases have been instrumental in the discovery of some of New Zealand's biggest success stories over the past nine years. Previous artists include; Aldous Harding, Tami Neilson, Tiny Ruins, Soaked Oats, Sachi, Holly Arrowsmith, Fazerdaze and Nadia Reid.
