Playboi Carti is one of the new school Atlanta favourites that has been making waves since he was in high school. After receiving the A$AP Rocky co-sign, Carti was suddenly in the mainstream spotlight. Magnolia in particular broke through as one of the biggest rap records of 2017. Since then he’s released his second album Die Lit which received both critical and commercial success. As for Carti’s live performance, the young artist brings his high energy set every time he takes the stage. Making his New Zealand debut at Rhythm and Vines, you best be shredding for Rhythm now to survive the Carti mosh when he headlines December 30.
DAVE DOBBYN RETURNS FOR ROUND THREE
The Australian flag is flown by the return of Cutsnake to Waiohika Estate, with debut performances from Byron Bay psychedelic outfit Babe Rainbow and breakthrough Hip Hop MC Hooligan Hefs.
Dubstep fans receive their hero in England producer Monxx on December 30, while newcomer drum and bass producer 1991 joins the already stacked Drum and Bass lineup.
Located on the lush green lawns of Waiohika Homestead, the Garden Stage plays hosts to Harper Finn, Wax Mustang, Frank Booker, and more over the 3 days. While the popular Cellar Stage, often referred to as the Forest Stage, will see headline performances from Tom Trago, Patrice Bäumel, Calyx and Teebee, Makato & MC Fava and Culture Shock to name a few. The forest floor will be moving from December 29 till the early hours of 2020.
