The Vibes announce the release of Golden City headed for all major streaming platforms February 26th 2020. Fresh off a tour of the NZ festival circuit, The Vibes enter the new decade with an anthemic riff heavy single.
“Golden City is an enigmatic single about the mythical destination we are attempting to reach in our lives. It’s a reflection on the lost youth that surround us, specifically referencing the missing sense of purpose many of us find in today's reality. It talks about the feelings of fear and excitement in this modern world for those of us trying to find our place within society” explains Brendon Thomas, the songwriter behind the new release.
Hailing from Auckland’s North Shore, The Vibes gained national attention on ‘X-Factor New Zealand’ in late 2015. The Vibes have since released a 6 track EP and a follow up single in October 2019 which has amassed over 20,000 streams as result of playlisting on Apple Music’s ‘New Music Daily’ and popular YouTube channel ‘Brown Prider Funk’.
Celebrating their latest drop with performances at TSB Festival of Lights, Amplify Rock Festival, Okura Forest Festival and NZ Spirit Festival, The Vibes intend to spread their electric and dynamic live shows across the New Zealand summer.
