July-August, 2005 hardcore punk rock group Tempo 38 recorded what was to be their debut album. Engineered by Nick Cunningham (Kill Me Quickly, Evil Priest) at Rock bottom studios, Auckland.
The band then got an offer to do a split with an Australian band (to be confirmed) through Adelaide-based label PEE Records. The label discovered Tempo 38 through their Myspace profile.
The split-CD will feature 5 of the bands new tracks and will be released around June on Pee Records (AUS) and Hit Your Head Music (NZ), the remaining tracks will be used for compilations and B-sides etc. One being the PEE Magazine issue #37 covermount CD compilation due out end of June and another being the AK Underground Fest. compilation CD.
The new material is currently being mastered by Martyn Zub (The Hot Lies, Hill Top Hoods, Murder Hill) at Tracks Sound Production, Adelaide, Australia.
Tempo 38 will play a 5-show tour in Australia to promote the release once the CD is out followed by a NZ tour.
