The new track from Channeled is here. The Taste of Blood is hard hitting right from the roaring guitars that come blasting in from the start. The opening riff will get your heart pumping with adrenaline, and by the end you will want to experience it all over again.
“Musically and lyrically, I am exploring the idea of biting your tongue when you are around certain people,” Ben explains. “I’ve had people ask me who the song is about, and I can comfortably say that it isn’t about anyone. I just followed the emotion of song and let it tell a story. Although, I am flattered that people then look at me as if I am lying.”
Carrying on and evolving the sound found on the well-received self-titled debut album, The Taste of Blood is the perfect first track to promote the new upcoming, yet to be titled, second album due end of the year.
“After finishing writing and recording the first album in August of 2019, I feel like I have had time to find out what I have done that works well, and I have also identified areas I want to develop. The latest batch of songs being written definitely feel much bigger sonically as well as being more diverse.”
