In December of 2019, Amber released her debut single Lights Down Low and is now releasing her third single which is part of her upcoming EP. Both of Amber’s first two singles made their way onto NZ On Air’s New Tracks list. She also competed in the 2019 Smokefree RockQuest and placed 2nd in the Canterbury solo/duo regional finals with her first released song. Amber is a Kiwi artist from Christchurch studying tertiary Pop Vocals at Ara Music Arts.
Think About It will be released on all music platforms on April 24th 2020. This song is an up-beat catchy tune with a strong percussive feature. The song is about coming to the acceptance of liking someone but not knowing whether to pursue it and risk getting hurt or not. This is something that can often be difficult to come to terms with and Amber says, “I know personally that I struggle with putting myself and my heart out in the open. The line ‘everything happens for a reason’ at the end of the chorus is something I always say to myself in reassurance - no matter what I decide, my decision will and should be what I feel is right.”
The single, along with the rest of the EP , was produced by Marley Sola, a well-known local Christchurch musician and producer at Mel-Oh Studios. You can expect a four-track EP to be out by June.
