Reb Fountain's new self-titled album is now out digitally on Flying Nun Records, with physical release slated for June 26th. The celebrated songwriter delivers a dark brand of noir punk-folk a la Nick Cave, with raw and booming heart. Her vocal performance is a dynamic force, flowing with intentional power one moment and easy demeanor the next, to create a warm and sultry form of compelling.

Reb Fountain has an impressive catalogue of songs behind her, each of which is imbued with the honesty and creative spirit of a true wanderer and storyteller. In 2017 she released her EP Hopeful & Hopeless, recorded live at Auckland venue, The Wine Cellar, quickly followed by the album Little Arrows. She won the 2018 APRA NZ Best Country Music Song for Hopeful & Hopeless and the Recorded Music NZ Best Country Music Artist Tui for the EP of the same name.

After the success of singles Faster, Samson and When Gods Lie, the release day of Reb's incredible latest album also marked the premiere of the official video for Don't You Know Who I Am on RNZ. The video was directed by [and stars] Lola Fountain-Best.

The music video for When Gods Lie, premiered by Consequence of Sound and directed by Lola Fountain-Best, was shot entirely on black and white super 8 film, giving it an incomparable texture and richness. Using part-human, part-animal masks to play with the notion of identity and being, the video creates an intoxicating fantasy world exploring the stories we tell ourselves.
