Kirsten Morrell is well known for her sparkling career with the band Goldenhorse.
Goldenhorse achieved triple platinum status in New Zealand with their debut album Riverhead and double-platinum sales with Out of The Moon. Riverhead went to number one on the album charts and spent 70 weeks in the Top 40 chart in New Zealand. It has sold over 50,000 copies. Out of The Moon debuted at number two and sold over 30,000 albums.
With Pop music Kirsten has sung multiple tours and headlined Kiwi festival concerts such as Symphony Under the Stars, Music in Parks, Vineyard Tours, Poet Laureate – Hone Tuwhare commissions. The band gained international record deals and worked territories such as Germany, Canada, and London UK.
Most recently she’s been singing with Crouch End Festival Chorus, an internationally renowned, award winning, concert choir – Kirsten has appeared on multiple classical music releases, sung on London stages such as Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, BBC Proms, and the Chorus’s now official venue Alexandra Palace, O2 Arena and the Birmingham Arena.
The repertoire this choir performs is dynamic partaking in workshops with associate composers across the music fields, such as Ennio Morricone, Duke Ellington, Eric Whitacre and Arnold Rosner and working with orchestras like Mozart Players, London Philharmonic. One off commissions and appointments include singing backing vocals for artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Danny Elfman, and The Studio Ghibli. And working in recording studios such as Abbey Road, BBC Maida Vale Studios and Alexandra Palace Concert Hall.
