Bio

Stone Monarch was formed in 2010 by Ross McGuire, former guitarist from Auckland thrash metal band Heavy Artillery. After a few months of writing and recording some rough demo tracks James Moore joined on drums. The duo spent the next few months rehearsing the material and in May 2011 they enlisted Lindsay Hamilton, also from Heavy Artillery, on guitars. The band entered Blackdoor Studios in the winter of 2011 and recorded the demo No Mercy...No Quarter.
2012 will see the band record an EP and gigs are planned for later on in the year.
