Ammp - From Billy @ American website Indieshows

Ammp is a rock band from New Zealand and I'll come right out and say they are one of my personal favorite independent bands right now! I've heard their music before because they've visited the site, but I was reminded of them because they just recently posted a link to their music on our music reviewing board.
Their music is full of life. It's heart pumping really good, sweet sounding music. They also have some slow tunes, but their songs like "Ironman" are my favorites. They almost have a U2 quality to them, but they sound different from U2, they just sound good. There is no other way to describe them!
The way "Ironman" starts out with the hard drum beat, then a very catchy guitar lick kicks in, then it quiets down for the vocals. I love this lead singer's vocals... they are unique, but unique in a good way. All the details they put into their music like the background vocals, the synths, everything is very well played and they did an awesome job on all of their recordings.
This band is a band that other bands (thats a lot of the word "band" in one sentence) need to model themselves after if they want to be successful. I'm not saying all bands need to do this style of music, I'm saying that no matter what genre of music you like to play, you need to practice, practice, practice, and get your demos/cds sounding like this.
Ammp, if they wanted, I think could hit it big and get a big record deal... if they had the right connections!
