Part of New Zealand Music Month is showcasing NZ music and J. Williams is back with another R&B power ballad, Broken Love is the name of his latest release which was co-written with sister Lavina and then mixed and mastered by NOX and Patriarch for their Illegal Muzik label.
The lyrics are based on some real life experiences which connects with the emotive way J. Wills belts out a love song. Continuing with the success of his debut album Young Love from 2009 J. Wills has a more mature approach in this song and hopefully this will continue in the next studio album.
There's no doubting Joshua Williams, aka J Williams, has the moves being a national champion and world class dancer. Now he's out to prove he has the voice too.
He's a member of the national champion Prestige hip hop street dancing crew which came fourth in this year's World Champs, and (under the name Dziah) came second two years ago.
Now the 21 year-old Samoan from south Auckland is trying to prove he has the voice to also make it to the top. His debut single 'Blow your mind' co-produced by NOX and Illegal Musik's MC Patriarch, of Ill Semantics fame, has just been released with an accompanying Chris Brown-like music video, funded by NZ On Air.
