State Of Mind - Gig Review: State of Mind with MC Rolex @ Static, Hamilton - 30/06/17
09 Jul 2017 // A review by Freecell
The Drum & Bass Massive presents: State of Mind with MC Rolex with local support from: Freecell, Hijenkx, Harlan Jones, Califresh, Snead place project and Wilks.
This Event was at Static, 5 Hood St, Hamilton. Famous for Bass heavy genres with a reputation of many good times and quality events.
From start to finish this Drum & Bass event had the goods to deliver, with tickets previously sold out 2 days before the event, and loads of people lining up when the doors opened at 10pm. The night was off to a great start!
The local support artists were playing 30mins b2b sets and what a superb job everyone did, the audience was packing out and enjoying the drum & bass. MC Rolex was on fire the whole night with quality rhymes and witty free flowing. Rolex is a badman! A true NZ MC legend. Stu and Patrick arrived before their set time of 1am -3am The crowd went wild when they came on. Static was packed to capacity everyone was dancing and there was loads of good vibes and happy faces.
Their performance was constant and uplifting with great crowd interaction and the place was going off! Towards the end it was so awesome to see the crowd clapping and cheering on to the
Sun King original mix! I guess it's a NZ DnB anthem these days. It was a great night for Drum & Bass in Hamilton.
