Chris the Maker Feat. Christopher Allen Haumaha - Single Review: Project001
17 Apr 2018 // A review by Freecell
This track has no intro, starting off hard, rough and with fuzzy feedback to your ears. It is a continuous loop that starts off quite rough, gradually changing slightly with new arrangements of sounds from time to time.
At 3.16 minutes, it changes to a more bearable loop sound. It's made up of a keyboard bass line, snare and drum kit with a delay effect, cowbell, kick bass on delay and some screeching static sounds that aren't mixed properly causing this track to feedback in the reds. It needs to be mixed and balanced right, it needs a limiter and compressor and less reverb to compliment the overall sound. In hindsight the riff itself could work and the timing of this track has an almost dubstep 4/4 timing but it's far more eccentric with no lyrics or direction.
My favourite parts of this track would have to be the keyboard bass line and the Drums. The beauty of this project that I can relate to is that this monster sound has been created in a home studio which is where there's infinite possibilities of sound creation, like a mad scientist who created Frankenstein in his science lab. Keep defining your sounds and who knows what you will create. There are no limits.
