Bio

Silk is a guitar based acoustic duo comprised of Miriam Scotter and Mandy Patmore. These two singer-songwriters, have combined their talent to create strong soulful songs complimented by powerful harmonies.

Although Silk is a recently formed duo, Miriam and Mandy began perfoming together about 3 years ago, in the 5 piece band Crush. Since then they have performed extensively around Auckland - as a duo, and with other musicians- playing with many well-known local acts, such as Chris Knox, Paul Ubana-Jones, The Coolies, The Rock n Roll Machine and many more.

Silk's musical influences are many and varied, ranging from Latin Jazz to PJ Harvey. They also appreciate the vast skills and diversity many local acts, enjoying the great music scene that Auckland and the rest of NZ provides.
