Module is a Musician / Producer / Composer with over 35+ years creating and performing music. Starting age 4 with Acoustic Piano he completed his music theory lessons around grade 7, about 6 years later when his music teacher told him he was better off doing his own thing!
This lead to finding a 4 track recorder at cash convertors in his late teens, then a Amiga 500 computer with basic tracker software and endless tape cassettes and floppy disks, during this time he used synths, drum machines, guitar, bass and drums multi tracked with home made 8 bit samples and vocals.
Jeramiah created Module in 2003 as a solo project using a Pentium 2, Midi Keyboards, and Acoustic Instruments instruments and the ‘new virtual studio technology’ and started working on a idea of mixing everything together into his own ‘new’ style based around classical, electronic and singer songwriter and a performance character called “Module” 2 years later Remarkable Engines was released in 2005 by LOOP recordings which lead on to a constant touring schedule, working with Rhian Sheehan and Paul Mclaney & many other Music / Visual Artists.
Also around then, He joined Rhombus as a keyboard player performing with them at many festivals around New Zealand. He joined Fly My Pretties performing his own Classical compositions Oh Fair Moonlight and Rain both written as a young teenager to sell out 16 shows around New Zealand in all major theatres.
He toured and performed extensively around New Zealand and Australia (including a random epic Spain show) with Rhian Sheehan and as Module using a custom midi based hardware live approach with interactive real time visuals created in collaboration with Mike Busy, He remixed and worked with NZ electronic legends Pitch Black, Performed at Splore, R&V and many other great NZ festivals.
During this time he was approached by local video game company Sidhe (now PIKPOK) and he composed the soundtrack for the game Shatter which streamed over 1 million copies on bandcamp alone and released through the playstation network picking up countless accolades and various awards worldwide.
The soundtrack went on to be called one of the best video game soundtracks of recent times and featured Module using his live experience and 80’s inspired rock and roll lead guitar solos and live bass and a mix of synthesiser driven stadium rock anthems with singing virtual robots.
Shortly after that He released Imagineering which is the polar opposite and was more about ambient dreamy super produced visually orientated music. That went on to feature on What We do in the Shadows” by Taika Waititi & Jemaine Clement. The album picked up various good reviews around the planet with songs also being used in Earthrace. his video game work carried on for working with PikPok on countless mobile and console games for Activision, Dreamworks, Zeptolab, Weta workshop and many other high end creative companies around the world (still from the shed mostly).
He released the album Programma (renamed to Love in the Digital) a 20 track song based concept album about a scientist working for a corporation in the future in the field of sound and light.
Around 2013 Jeremiah was hit out of the blue by an extreme form of clinical depression and suffered a very bad physical reaction to the medication he was on. Suffering a seizure and coma, almost died and was airlifted to Wellington hospital where he woke up connected to life support machines. This lead on to years of intensive recovery and after many years he found peace and began to write and compose again and reconnected back to the NZ creative community and industry with his new work Infinity Forever, Time, Space, Love which is a expansion on previous themes found throughout his work with strong audio / visual story based concepts and character design.
After a ‘good enough’ recovery the last 2 years has been spent in the home studio flat out in the bay with over 90 new songs and compositions.
The singles Everything is Possible and Electrochemicals were released through LOOP recordings with Part 1 being released on Bandcamp and received 5 star reviews and features a song writing and live instrumentation approach with otherworldly songs, Currently he is working on Part 2 and Part 3 and will be performing in various theaters again with his childhood friends from Palmerston North, Duncan McCann (Guitars, Bass, Synths) and Liz Kirkman (Vocals, Instrumentation)
He also recently performed at the Opera house with Fly My Pretties again to a sell out audience.
