Cord Willis was formed in the back yard shed in Bunnythorpe by a bunch of mediocre guys in April '04. They're a four-piece emo-core (says Rock in genre cause thats the closest they had) band with influences of Zao, Hopesfall, Underoath and Norma Jean.

Since forming the band with Rockquest in mind, the boys have been playin gigs at The Stomach opening for the likes of hardcore favourites Cathedra.

Cord Willis has been described as the "answers to the unknown" for the drifting youth of NZ's underground music scene and with lyrics that know you, driving guitars and caressing melodies it's easy to see why Cord Willis is stirring up hardcore pits all over NZ.
