Fiona McEwen is a singer/songwriter who draws on folk, pop, rock and country influences to create unique songs with catchy melodies.
Fiona McEwen performed extensively from 2004-2012, either solo, in a duo with Steve Terry, or with bands, The FM Band and Deep River, a collaboration with songwriter, Wendy Morris.
Fiona McEwen has been writing songs since 1987 and now has around 60 songs registered with APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association).
For many years Fiona McEwen has organised music and poetry events including a successful open mic night in West Auckland from Sept 09 to Feb 11, and was the Co-Ordinator of a stage at the 2011 & 2012 Prana New Year Festivals in the Coromandel. Since April 2021 she has run an open mic night at Elevation Brasserie in West Auckland and performing with songwriter, Paula Feather on backing vocals, flute and violin.
Fiona McEwen sings backing vocals on two songs on Judith McNeil’s debut album Accepting Apples (2009) and 8 songs on Wendy Morris's debut album Entangled (2012).
