Koile is a 12-man roots/reggae outfit originally dedicated to Marley anthems and sunshine grooves that make summers memorable.
However, the ancestral mix within this band has a strong umbilical influence on its own style of Pasifika reggae opening their performance with a song from Tokelau to test the vocals and tune the harmonies and bring on some unwavering Pasifika roots.
Koile is a southern collective presenting a potent cross-cultural mix of migration to Aotearoa anchored in the deep south of Otepoti / Dunedin.
