John Goudge is a versatile West Auckland actor and musician who performs solo, with his band, & with the world fusion ensemble Ionosphere.
John released his debut fully-studio album Fool Circle on April Fools Day 2010, and followed with a sell-out theatrical release show on 3 April at the Titirangi Theatre.
John Goudge Band was adjudged “the most outstanding band” in ALT TV’s Top of the Rocks competition at Space Bar in 2006. In April 2008, an early version of the song Coma made number one on the amplifier.co.nz charts.
The music of John Goudge is original & engaging. It can easily sweep from rock to pop to jazz, all in the same set.
Along with Johnny Cameron & Matt Reece, John creates world music that combines ethnic instruments with modern dance beats with the band Ionosphere.
Band Members:
John Goudge (guitar, vocals)
Tracey Pierard (vocals)
Rob Molyneux (guitar)
John Cameron (congas, percussion)
Steve Gray (bass)

John Goudge Band album recording pregress Posted: Tue Feb 19, 2008 12:31 pm John Goudge & band have just popped up for air after spending most of the last two months in the recording studio working on 'the album.' At Beaver Studios in Auckland City producer Simon Holloway has been working with me to create that amazing masterpiece I have been dreaming of. Here's hoping it will meet all my (& your) expectations & more. I think it will. The bulk of recording is done, so now the studio slips into an editing & mixing phase that will take several months. I can tell you that the album will probably have 11 tracks, & should be good to dance to, aswell as relax to. Any music industry professionals who wish to support the album in anyway should contact me. Love & regards to you all. Thanks for supporting us. JG. |
