Redwood - an eclectic, folk-rock group made up of three friends, who are out to share the fruits of their musical inspirations. All individually accomplished musicians, they got together to collaborate on some of Brads' songs. Influenced by classic rockers such as Bob Dylan and Neil Youngas well as more contemporary acts as Iron and Wine and Ray Lamontagne, their music can only be described as indie folk.
The recording of their self-titled debut album took place in a spacious commercial kitchen, set amongst a tranquil kiwifruit orchard in the Bay of Plenty. Brad Taylor, the multi-talented songwriter, used his diploma in audio engineering to engineer, mix and produce the album.
Live shows are usually Brad playing solo. The live show has been described as "music the way it's meant to be played". Brad tries to bring the mood of a 1960's coffeehouse folk show whenever he takes the stage, including versions of traditional folk songs in his sets.
Band Members:
