Gramsci return to the live scene this Saturday Posted: Tue Oct 26, 2004 8:33 am SEE THE NEW GRAMSCI LINE-UP PERFORM THIS SATURDAY 30TH OCTOBER AT THE AMBASSADOR THEATRE, PT CHEVALIER Gramsci have been in the studio most of this year, recording the album 'Like Stray Voltage', which is scheduled for release in early 2005. The album will show a much rockier side to Gramsci that may not have been apparent in predecessors 'Object', 'Permanence' and frontman Paul McLaney's solo effort 'The Shadows of Birds Flying Fall Slowly Down the Tall Buildings'. This rock-infused Gramsci, featuring McLaney and longtime collaborator David Holmes along with newcomers Mareea Paterson (Veruca Salt, Tim Finn) on bass and Jasper De Roos (Meterman) or drums, will unleash their new material this Saturday, October 30th at Pt Chevalier's Ambassador Theatre. That's right - the Ambassador Theatre, not just the little room in the front - expect a rowdy night in an amazing environment, with a spectacular light show and huge sound. Gramsci will be supported by Kahu and The Fanatics. Doors open at 8.30pm. Limited tickets are available from Real Groovy. Don't miss the live return of Gramsci this Saturday October 30th at the Ambassador Theatre, Pt Chevalier. |
