Native

Bio

NATIVE started out performing Celtic music, though over time have diversified their sound into other genres and instrumentation to the point where they could be native to anywhere. The NATIVE sound lends itself loosely to acoustic rock, and is characterized by djembe, stomp box and tambourine in place of a drum kit, didgeridoo, and interwoven melodies between the violin, mandolin and vocals, superimposed over rhythm guitar and double bass.

The dream to record an album was first floated a couple of years ago. Matty went ahead and built a fully sound-proof recording studio with desk, monitor and separate mixing-room in his parents house. The time that the studio took to build allowed NATIVE to develop their sound over various corporate, public and private performances...Leading to the 12 fine tracks that have been recorded, produced and mastered in Matty's studio.
