Whitejacket Parade formed in 2008 with co-founders Fraser Evan and Stephen Bier. With a mutual love of diverse influences including Pink Floyd, The Doors, the John Butler Trio, Bob Dylan and Radiohead, their original approach was to combine the lyrical sensibilities of folk while embracing the dirt and grime of blues and rock.
While searching for a unique sound, Stephen started to tinker with homemade pedals and amps, while Fraser worked on blues piano and harmonica and his lyrics. When they were joined on bass/cello by Jo Fitch and percussion by Richard Bunker, the white jacket parade was complete.
The band has recently released their debut EP 'Innocence and Experience', and is looking forward to more music and mayhem.
