Soul/Funk/Jazz artist Sacha Vee is a distinctive vocalist who is making waves in the NZ music scene with her exciting new neo-soul sound.
With her Dutch/West Indian background, Sacha Vee decided on a career in music at age 16 when she won 'Best Vocalist' at the Annual NZ Jazz Festival in Tauraunga. For the past three years Sacha Vee has been performing in NZ Music Festivals such as Main Divide, Parihaka, Ination, Canaan Downs, Phat and The NZ International Jazz and Blues Festival. She has also opened for the likes of Hollie Smith, dDub and Harbour City Electric and has performed for International tennis stars; Pat Cash and Steffi Graff at an International tennis match held at the Westpac Trust Centre.
Recently, Sacha Vee collaborated with Devin Abrams (Shapeshifter) on his latest Pacific Heights album, 'In A Quiet Storm', which was rated one of NZ's best albums of the year by the Christchurch press.
Sacha Vee is also the lead singer of the eight-piece funk band, Oval Office. Hailing from Christchurch, their debut album, was released on the 30th of March, along side a NZ Album Release Tour.
