Watercolours is a solo project by Chelsea Jade Metcalf, who is also a member of the Teacups. Watercolours is 'powerlines against the sky and freshly laundered sheets', as the self-description professes. And the analogy holds true in the music Watercolours produce. The fine hint of electricity suspended in the airy open space of the musical soundscape that the songs inhabit is held together softly by the warm, dreamy mood that floats throughout.

To make comparisons, Watercolours finds itself somewhere between M83, Bjork and even Bon Iver, both in general sound and more specifically in Chelsea Jade Metcalf's superb vocal work. Chelsea Jade is backed up in a live sense by Reuben Stephens and Jonathan Pearce of Artisan Guns, David Parker and fellow Teacuppian Elizabeth Stokes.
