Bad State is a four-piece band from Auckland, formed in October 2012. They love to rock out, party, and deliver a thrilling show. Their music is ballsy, organic and in your face.
On lead vocals and rhythm guitar is Alex Glučina. He was the former singer of metal band Painted Enygma. He has been coached by the very talented Ken Tamplin to sing in a hard rock style using glottal compression. His voice varies from a clean whisper to a nasty growl, which leaves you moist… and wanting.

On lead guitar is Joseph Macedo. He has been shredding guitar licks since he popped out into this world. He is a captivating and energetic performer, thrashing his long luscious hair about where he pleases, and he loves to rev up the crowd. Some of the guitarists that inspires him are names such as Eddie Van Halen, Dimebag Darrel and Slash.
On drums is Shannon Marr-Paraha. He is a very passionate player, and hits the drums with great power and aggression. His inspiration varies from hard hitting Rock drummers, to tight and fast Metal drummers, and laid back Hip-Hop beats. Shannon’s energy on stage is inexhaustible. He strives to be very fit and strong to deliver the best show that he possibly can.
Together, Bad State creates an exhilarating and raunchy sound and perform a hell of a show.
