The Bristol Dollar

Bio

The Bristol Dollar has its roots in Americana, Kiwiana, Folk, Alt-Country and Swamp Rock. From these foundations they have built their own style of music that draws from each, and gives back something new.

Taking centre stage are the two lead vocalists, Bryan and Rebecca, each with their own style but the magic happens when the harmony work arrives and there is a real synergy in the voices. Sean and Jonathan provide the rhythm section and anchor the band. The instruments include acoustic guitar, resonator guitar, banjo, & double bass reflecting their country, bluegrass and folk music roots.

The band released their debut recording, Love & Truth, in March 2015 featuring 9 original tracks, 3 covers of inspirational artists and live recording. This recording showcases the song writing talents, vocal harmonies and alt-folk rhythms that has made the band many fans in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. They released their 2nd, this time self-titled CD in February 2016 immediately prior to their tour of Texas. The new CD features 9 new original songs and two covers and further defines the unique sound of the band.
