Bio

Since arriving in Wellington in late 2010, Uncle Silverback has become a familiar face to local music lovers, tearing up the trombone for Newtown Rocksteady, Niko Ne Zna, Brockaflower and T?whiri Funk. His turntable skills and sizeable collection of funk and hip-hop records have also scored him regular DJ sets all over town.

Early in 2017 The Performance Arcade at the Wellington Waterfront saw the debut of his solo stage show with a set of all original music combining beats produced in his bedroom studio with live instrumentation. This was soon followed up with a string of performances all over Wellington at bars, music venues, house parties and festivals where he's continued to develop the music, hone his craft and make new friends.
