Who are State of Entropy?
'Let There Be Rock’ was the commandment from Bon Scott in 1977, and exactly 40 years Marc and Steve took note and formed a Dirty Blues Based NWOBHM inspired band called State of Entropy. A band that meets their mission ... to get people dancing to real rock music.
Originally called IRN Blues, in a hat tip to the founding members homeland of Scotland, they began to gig in as many local establishments as possible. Delivering the message of good honest rock, to a hungry population deprived of this traditional music fare.
In March 2020, State of Entropy went into the studio. This was obviously too much for natural world and it sent COVID-19 to close New Zealand and State of Entropy down ... (They joined team NZ’s 5 million to fight a virus for 3 months) ... through the power of Rock and hard sacrifice the virus was stalled at the border and The Lockdown Tapes were completed and released to the world.
A tablet with 8 of the crowd pleasers that entertained at the fabled Lovelands, The Local Scene shows and sold out pubs around Wellington. The album is back to roots dirty hard rock and heavy blues.
State of Entropy are currently gigging on the back on The Lockdown Tapes and will be playing around the greater Wellington area.
