Bio

Dave Flynn is an award-winning musician from Ireland, now based in Auckland.

He has toured New Zealand several times, including headline slots at Canterbury Folk Festival and Hamilton Folk Festival.

Acclaimed as a 'genre-jumping genius' (Tradreview.com) Flynn's solo shows are an eclectic mix of original songs and instrumentals mixing influences from indie pop, Celtic, classical and jazz.

Praised in the New York Times for the 'Power and Grittiness' of his music, Flynn has toured internationally both as a solo artist and with his ensemble the Irish Memory Orchestra.

He has appeared live at New York's Museum of Modern Art and Irish Arts Center; Moscow's Kremlin Armory Chamber and Catholic Cathedral; Dvorak Hall, Prague and the Sori International Festival, South Korea.

He has toured around Europe, Japan and New Zealand.
